For ASUS · Social & Community Marketing Specialist · Houston, TX

I don't just post.
I start the conversation
gamers want to be in.

I'm Dominick Finetti — and yes, I've been here before. From 2014–2015 I was an ASUS College Community Brand Manager in Chico, CA, running campus events, executing the #GameForGood tournament, and earning a top-10 North America selection that flew me to NYC for the ZenFone 2 launch. Ten years later I do this for a living — currently community lead at AMD Gaming, previously head of social at Streamlabs by Logitech (1.5M+ followers). I'm ready to come home to ASUS.

// Stage 01 · How I'd run this role

Six pillars, mapped 1:1 to the JD.

ASUS is asking for a Reddit-fluent, short-form-fluent, community-native operator who can turn launches into conversations. That's the exact job I do today — and the exact job I started inside ASUS in 2014.

P01

Reddit-Native Strategy

I know what plays on r/buildapc, r/pcmasterrace, r/hardware, r/ASUS, r/IntelArc vs r/AMDHelp — and what dies. I write threads that read like a passionate user wrote them, not a brand manager. I jump into external threads where it makes sense, not just owned subs.

P02

Conversation-First Content

Every product launch, GTM beat, or comparison gets reframed as a discussion: tier-list debates, build challenges, 'change my mind' posts, AMA prompts with engineers. The goal is replies and saves — not impressions.

P03

Short-Form Video Execution

I plan, capture, and edit Reels / TikToks / Shorts end-to-end. OBS + Game Bar for capture, Premiere + After Effects for edits. At Streamlabs I built a TikTok system that produced 200K+ view organic hits, natively.

P04

Active Community Engagement

I'm in the comments, quote-replies, and DMs daily — surfacing sentiment back to product, PR, and creator teams. I treat engagement as a research channel, not a chore.

P05

AI Discovery & Syndication

Discussion-led Reddit content is how brands show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. I write for both the human reader and the model that's about to summarize the thread.

P06

Global ↔ Local GTM

I've coordinated cross-regional programs at Cisco and Logitech G — translating global launch decks into platform-native, locally-resonant content. ASUS HQ ↔ NA campus is exactly the loop I started in back in 2014.

// Stage 02 · Origin story · ASUS, 2014

I started my career as an ASUS College Community Brand Manager.

Chico, CA · Jan 2014 – May 2015 · 1 yr 5 mos · Part-Time. This is where I learned how to translate ASUS product priorities into community moments — and it's where my entire career in community and gaming started.

ASUS · Part-Time · Chico, CA

College Community Brand Manager

Jan 2014 – May 2015 · 1 yr 5 mos
  • Hosted 5+ on-campus computer hardware and gaming events throughout the year — the original ASUS-aligned community building.
  • Planned and executed the ASUS-sponsored #GameForGood charity tournament, securing local sponsorship from Red Bull, Monster, Kohana Coffee, and others.
  • Attended monthly online team meetings to discuss challenges, opportunities, and KPIs with the national CCBM cohort.
  • Selected as 1 of just 10 Student Brand Managers across North America to receive an all-expense-paid trip to the ASUS launch event for the ZenFone 2 in New York City, May 2015.
Why this matters now

I already know the ASUS brand voice, the cadence between HQ and field activations, and how to turn a hardware moment into a community one. Hiring me isn't a bet on potential — it's hiring back someone who already shipped for ASUS at 22 and has been getting better at it for a decade.

#GameForGood · Featured campaign

I planned and executed an ASUS-sponsored gaming tournament for charity on campus, personally securing in-kind and cash sponsorship from Red Bull, Monster, and Kohana Coffee. This is the exact muscle the new role needs: turning a brand priority into a real-world community moment that earns its own social tail.

ASUS USA Tweet · Product demo

"Pic tweeted by @ASUSUSA — Dominick Finetti demonstrating the…" — caught demonstrating ASUS product at the NYC launch, surfaced on the official ASUS USA channel. Yes, I have receipts.

// Stage 03 · Selected work

Four campaigns, four pieces of this exact JD.

Hardware community at AMD. Discussion-led posts on owned forums. Short-form GTM at Logitech G. A community grown from zero. Each one maps to a bullet in the ASUS spec.

AMD Gaming · Currently

Discord & Forum Community at AMD Gaming

Community & Engagement Specialist · 2024–Present

Day-to-day lead for the AMD Gaming Discord and official forums — sentiment, engagement, and growth. Plan and execute AMAs with engineers, watch parties for AMD-sponsored esports, sweepstakes, and product launches across Radeon and Ryzen. Manage a team of 20+ volunteer mods. Identify and reward power users — the same model ASUS could deploy across its R&G community channels and brand subreddits.

The takeaway

This is direct hardware-brand community work. Swap the AMD logo for ROG and the playbook ports cleanly — same enthusiast audience, same Reddit subs, same DIY energy.

Reddit-Style Discussion · Mattel Creations Forum

Driving 7-figure forum engagement on owned community

Senior Community Manager · 2021–2025

Wrote and managed forum threads built like Reddit posts: clear hooks, debate prompts, and reactive replies. Two threads I wrote pulled 170K+ and 150K+ views with ~1.8K replies each on an owned forum — proving that a brand voice can earn real discussion when it's written like a community member, not a press release.

The takeaway

If I can drive Reddit-level engagement on a niche collector forum, doing it on actual Reddit — with PC enthusiasts and gamers, my native audience — is exactly the role.

TikTok / Reels / Shorts at Streamlabs by Logitech

Head of Social Media & Community · 2021–2022

Owned social and community across 1.5M+ followers spanning X, IG, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch. Built a short-form content system aligned with Streamlabs product launches and creator partnerships — natively edited, captioned, and timed for each platform's algorithm. Produced organic hits at 200K+ views without paid amplification.

The takeaway

This is the exact 'Reels / TikToks / Shorts aligned to GTM' work the JD asks for — at scale, with weekly leadership reporting and creator collaboration baked in.

Ambassador & Subreddit-Style Community

ScholarshipOwl — 0 → 17,000+ Discord Members

Head of Community · 2021–2025

Launched a Discord from scratch and built a 3-month internship that grew into a year-long Ambassador program across 15 college campuses — a direct evolution of the ASUS CCBM model I started inside a decade earlier. Documented onboarding, missions, budgets, and escalation paths. Same muscle ASUS needs for brand subreddits and Discord servers.

The takeaway

Growing or managing a subreddit / online community is in the JD's 'Preferred' column. I've done it for 15+ years — most recently from zero to 17K.

// Stage 05 · Continue?

My first 90 days at ASUS.

Not a wishlist. A working plan I'd walk into week one ready to present to the social and brand teams.

Day 1–30

Listen, audit, plug in

  • Read every active and recent thread on r/ASUS, r/ASUSROG, r/buildapc, r/pcmasterrace, r/hardware, r/IntelArc, r/AMD — and map the live sentiment around ROG, TUF, and ProArt.
  • Audit current ASUS short-form output across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts — what's working, what's flat, and which competitor accounts are setting the pace.
  • Sit with product, PR, creator, and global teams to learn the GTM calendar: what's launching, what's whispered, and what's a flagship moment vs a quiet refresh.
  • Document a Reddit-native ASUS voice guide: tone, do's and don'ts, escalation rules, and what 'good' looks like by subreddit.
Day 31–60

Stand up the conversation engine

  • Launch a weekly Reddit cadence: one discussion-led thread tied to a GTM beat, plus active engagement on at least 5 high-value external threads per week.
  • Ship a short-form content sprint: one Reels / TikTok / Shorts piece per active campaign, edited in-house, captioned and timed per platform.
  • Stand up a 'community-to-product' insights loop — a weekly digest of sentiment, feature requests, and competitor shifts going to product, PR, and global counterparts.
  • Pilot one engineer or product manager AMA on a brand subreddit to test the format and the voice.
Day 61–90

Activate, prove ROI, scale

  • Run one signature community moment per active product line — a tier-list debate, a build challenge, a 'beat the engineer' thread, or a creator-hosted Shorts series.
  • Publish a 90-day insights deck: thread performance, AI-syndication wins, sentiment shifts, top creators surfaced, and the conversations the brand should own next.
  • Hand leadership a 12-month conversation calendar tied to GTM — Reddit, short-form, and engagement targets, with the metrics framework to defend them.
  • Codify the playbook so global counterparts can localize without losing the voice.

PC DIY enthusiast. Reddit native.

Authenticity is the shortest path to trust online. You can't fake fluency with a community — you have to actually be in it. I've been in it since I was a kid, and on Reddit since long before it was my job.

I'll give you a Reddit + short-form thesis for ROG.

I built this site because a résumé doesn't show how someone actually thinks. If anything here landed, the fastest next step is a conversation. I'm an ASUS alumni — let's run it back.
